Ex-wife invited to Yusry-Lisa wedding

So Yusry KRU is set to wed actress Lisa Surihani on Feb 23.

But the biggest question that's buzzing on everyone's mind is perhaps: Is the talented Malaysian director inviting his ex-wife, actress Erra Fazira to the wedding?

Both camps are dogding the touchy feely subject. But Erra has already tweeted her congrats to her ex-hubby, saying: Congrats to @Yusry and @Lisa. Happy for you both. May you be blessed with a cute baby soon.

Yusry and Erra divorced in 2006 after three years of marriage.

A source close to the KRU family assures The Daily Chilli that Erra and Yusry are on talking terms. "Despite the nasty rumours that had been circulating around, it wasn't a nasty divorce for both of them," said the insider. "They're OK with each other."

When pressed for comments, Yusry's big bro, Norman Abd Halim said: "I don't know who will be invited. They (Yusry and Lisa) have not prepared the guest list."

He also declined to reveal the hantaran (bridal money and gifts) and cost of wedding, because "Yusry doesn't want to highlight those things." DailyChili

Naza Kia To Double Sales To 24,000 Units Next Year

Naza Kia Malaysia expects its annual sales to double to 24,000 units next year against a background of minimal growth in the country's car sales, its chief operating officer, Datuk Hafiz Syed Abu Bakar said.

He said the introduction of the All-New Optima K5, with a monthly target of 300 units, would drive Naza Kia's sales in the highly-competitive D-segment (large family car) of the market.

"With this vehicle, we will be able to take the Kia brand to new heights in 2012," he told reporters after the launch of the Optima K5 and its flagship, Kia Red Cube - Petaling Jaya outlet, here.

Hafiz said total industry volume this year was expected to remain at last year's level despite the recent Thai floods as well as earthquake and tsunami in Japan which hurt vehicle and parts production.

He said sales volume of the new cars registered in Malaysia was forecast to remain flat next year in view of the coming general elections and European economic uncertainty that could affect the world.

"Maintaining sales at the current level is good enough for next year," he said.

Hafiz said the Kia Red Cube was the first of its kind in Malaysia and the second such 3S (sales, service and spare parts) outlet in Asean.

"In 2012, we will open another Kia Red Cube either in northern or southern.

"At the same time, 27 of our existing outlets are currently being upgraded to incorporate Kia's new space identity," he said.

Naza Group of Companies, joint group executive chairman, SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin, said the Optima K5 was named 'Best of the Best' at the 2011 Red Hot Design Award.

The car has a fuel consumption on a combined cycle of 7.6 litres per 100km, he said.

It comes in a show white, bright silver and platinum graphite, he said, adding that customers could begin to book the car in January next year with a price tag of RM143,888.

1Malaysia Is A Philosophy, Not A Mere Slogan, Says Najib

SERI KEMBANGAN, Dec 18 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said on Sunday that 1Malaysia is a philosophy and not a mere slogan, stressing that it can transform the mindset of Malaysians towards building the country into a highly-developed nation by 2020.

He said that if Malaysians understood what was needed to hold the country together, they would realise the importance of giving continuous support to the government which had long and proven experience in building the nation.

"I believe we can achieve prosperity and become a strong country if all Malaysians embrace the notion of the 1Malaysia philosophy," he said in his speech at the ground-breaking ceremony of the Federation of Chinese Association Malaysia's (Hua Zong) new building, here.

The RM55 million project, expected to be completed in two years, comprises a Chinese museum, library, reading room, information and research rooms, meeting rooms, a conference hall and a multi-purpose banquet hall.

The prime minister also announced RM5 million in government contribution for the project, of which RM2.5 million will be made available next year and the balance in 2013. - Bernama
